Our NHHS Marching Band as they pass the judges stand at the 1977 Band Review in Colton. The band won the sweepstakes trophy that day (best all around band) with some extremely stiff competition. Band member Rick Harlow states he owes much of what he is today to Mr. Richard England and his high expectations of his students. "He instilled self discipline, confidence, appreciation for all kinds of music, and a sense of family to the 200+ of us who went through his program." (Submitted by Rick Harlow) PS: Rick says to check out the gas prices at the Mobile station! All you have to do is move the decimal point, and prices are exactly the same today as they were 30 years ago! (Click on photo to enlarge)

COACH MCGEE... Me, Mike Ashen, and Harry Massingill attended a memorial for Coach near Fresno shortly after he passed away and his daughter gave us this photo as a momento. It was quite enlightening to meet his family and friends and hear his life story, outside of the persona we came to respect, fear, hate and love. (from Don Barker)
