The 1977 Varsity Football Team was the most successful NHHS team since 1942, finishing second in the Sunset League. Key players were Captain Don Barker, MVP Wayne Kasparek, Best Back Craig Lyons, Best Linebacker Doug Brockmeyer, Most Inspirational Steve Bullington, Most Improved Mike Gilbert, Coaches Award Jeff Bitetti.
